Dear friends and colleagues,
The 19th Annual Flagella Meeting will be held in Hiroshima city on March 1-3, 2014. This meeting started as just a local meeting, but over the years we have invited many colleagues from abroad to give talks. We plan to make the 19th meeting an International Conference, and all scientists working on or interested in bacterial flagella and chemotaxis are invited. The meeting will be organized in a manner similar to the GRC-STIM and BLAST meetings.
The meeting is relatively short, so we have chosen a conference site in the middle of Hiroshima city where the access by public transportation is convenient. The conference room is housed in a building called the Hiroshima Culture Center, which is located only a couple of minutes walk from the A-bomb dome. The conference fee (including accommodation fee) for participants from abroad will be free except for a party to be held on the second night, in which we will celebrate the retirement of Prof. Shin-Ichi (Chi) Aizawa.
Please let us know if you plan to attend this meeting as soon as possible so that we can estimate the number of participants. If you decide to come, please give us tentative title of your talk. The final program including the list of the talks will announce in the end of January.
We very much look forward to having you join us at the meeting.
